Two-Stroke Oils FAQs

What's the difference between self-mix and pre-mix two-stroke oil?

Self-mix (injector) oil is used in motorcycles with automatic oil-injection systems that meter oil separately from fuel. Pre-mix oil is manually blended with fuel at a specific ratio (commonly 50:1) before being added to the tank.

Why does my two-stroke engine smoke more with low-quality oil?

Lower-quality two-stroke oils burn less cleanly, leaving more unburned residue that exits as visible smoke. Higher-quality, clean-burning formulations like Rovex Two-Stroke Oils reduce this significantly.
